The launch for Matt Moran’s new series Paddock To Plate, which is to air on Foxtel’s Lifestyle Channel, was absolutely splendid. It went beyond what we have come to know and love from celebrity chef Matt Moran and his Chiswick team at picturesque Chiswick Gardens in Woollahra.
Celebrities in attendance included Matt Moran, Kerri-Anne and John Kennerley, INXS lead guitarist Kirk Pengilly and seven-time surfing world champion Layne Beachley, and Logie-winning TV and movie actor Richard Roxburgh.

Eveyone left full. The variety and quality of the canapes made it hard to resist eating another one over and over again. The standouts were the Sea Bounty mussels in chorizo, tomato and toasted brioche, crumbed and crunchy Mandagery Creek Venison sliders with red cabbage slaw, Sher Wagyu Beef seared with Matt’s mustard, Snowy River Station samphire and seared tuna nicoise, Eastwind Rare breed Pork belly buns with hoisin and shallots, Goats Farmers slow cooked goat with hummus and mint in a pancake, and Blueberry Farm tart with custard apple fool. Anthony Puharich from Victor Churchill, Woollahra who supplies meats to Chiswick was there enjoying the VIP event.
We got to see a trailer for the show. It looks fantastic. Seeing some of the ingredients Matt sources and makes dishes with whet our appetite to see the series.
