Cleo, Billabong and Le Tan put on a swell party last night at The Bucket List, Bondi Beach. It was full of beautiful people. Celebrity attendees in attendance included Miss Universe Australia 2008 and Myer Ambassador Laura Dundovic wearing a silver Aurelio Costarella dress, X Factor’s Joelle and sister Kathleen wearing combinations of Kookai, Bardot and House of Emmanuelle with Tony Bianco and Kookai shoes respectively which Kathleen said were very comfortable high heels. Cleo Editor-in-Chief Lucy Cousins gave an introductory speech including the collaboration between Cleo and Billabong. Billabong swimwear models in the fashion parade included Australia’s Next Top Model runners-up Shanali Martin and Nyadak ‘Duckie’ Thot. The cool crowd sipped on Le Coco with Havana Blanco rum cocktails from jars, Pacifico beer, Henkell sparkling and Rose NV, and Kirin apple cider and were fed pork sliders, barbeque prawns, and sensational walnut salad.

The Rob Guest Endowment Gala Concert was held on 25 November at Sydney Lyric. It was hosted by the very funny Bert Newton and featured performances by a star studded line up including international star of Tap Dogs, Bootmen and judge on Dancing With The Stars Adam Garcia who sang and tap-danced about doing what his sister could entitled “I Can Do That”, Offspring’s Eddie Perfect who sang with a group of back-up singers about cricket’s prized ”The Ashes”, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert cast member Tony Sheldon who sang “Too Close For Comfort”, and singer and dancer Rhonda Burchmore who performed “When You’re Good to Mamma”. The night saw some of Australia’s finest musical theatre performances from cast members of Grease, King Kong, and 2014 musicals The King & I, and Le Miserables and two performances each from the six finalists vying to be the recipient of the Rob Guest Endowment Award. It lived up to its promise to be an exhilarating and uplifting night whether you were into musical theatre or not.

It’s a shame we have to wait a whole year before we can see another Rob Guest Endowment Gala Concert. It will be worth the wait!
Last night was the opening night of the British Film Festival at the Palace Verona, Paddington. The feature film titled One Chance, was a hilarious film about the rags to riches story of the season one winner of Britain’s Got Talent, David Potts.
Britain is a hothouse of leading style, and there was some great style from some of the attendees seen at the after party held at Paddington Arms Hotel.
The band played while we feasted on canapés of British fair of fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, Yorkshire pudding, “Bangers and mash”, crumbed fish cakes, and for dessert, trifle.

Tuchuzy celebrated their 18th birthday with a party last night at North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club’s The Clubhouse. We were greeted with trays of flutes of Laurent Perrier champagne, and glasses of Ciroc vodka Moscow Mules. Inside we were treated to Ciroc vodka Cosmopolitans. The guests were very stylish, many of them being from the fashion houses of the labels Tuchuzy stock.

OneRepublic featured at Nova’s Red Room last night at Bar 100 in advance of their Australian tour. It was an intimate show with approximately 50 guests. The songs they performed on the night were Something I Need, Burning Bridges, Apologize, Stop & Stare, and Counting Stars. Singer Ryan Tedder told us he likes Sydney’s vibe, saying that its cool and similar to LA, and that his favourite cities are Paris, Cape Town and Sydney. During the intro of Apologize, Ryan did a moment of beatboxing.

Last night Genesis showcased top emerging designers at Byron Kennedy Hall, Entertainment Quarter as a preview to the two-day programme commencing today. Next Top Model judge and Celebrity Apprentice star Didier Cohen was in attendance and gave a speech on how Genesis gives upcoming designers a platform to succeed. Attendees were able to view pieces and speak with the designers at their booths. Booth holders on the night were Cleonie, Zipporra, Ohara, Sara Aljaism, Alison Davis, Tanouk and Pasduchas. After canapés and drinks and those wanting their hair styled by Blow Dry Bar, we were treated to runway shows from Zipporra, Kabu Shoes, Wa-Nyika, Pasduchas, Sara Aljaism, Alison, Cleonie, Ohara, Tanouk, and Sistar Shoes.
