The international short film festival Flickerfest opened last night at the amphitheatre at Bondi Pavilion. It was a wonderful night to watch some riveting films under the stars.
Guests included actresses Matilda Brown, Rachel Ward and Mirrah Foulkes, award-winning film director of Animal Kingdom and The Rover David Michôd, award-winning film director Gillian Armstrong, film director and former Home & Away star Alyssa McLelland and her partner Adrian Mazzaferro, sexologist and relationship expert Dr Nikki Goldstein, celebrity personal trainer Luke Hines, and Flickerfest director Bronwyn Kidd.
The festival kicked off with Today’s The Day from USA starring Danny DeVito, Tango Underpants from Australia starring Emma Booth, Butter Lamp from France/China, and Great from Germany which was based on a true story.
Following the films, revellers kicked-on to the Festival Bar to sip on Crystal Head vodka cocktails, Rosnay Organic Wines, Little Creatures beer and Phoenix Organic Juices, and feast on Miss Chu rice paper rolls, dumplings and buns, and dance the night away to the sounds of Blues Brothers and other blues and soul tracks.
We got a snippet of the line up of short films for the rest of the festival. It looks great!
