The American-British-Canadian girl band sensation G.R.L. blew us away with a performance of the songs from their new EP at Marquee last night to an exclusive group of guests. Sony Music and Marquee hosted the G.R.L. Showcase. Their tracks – Ugly Heart, Show Me What You Got, Vacation, Rewind, Don’t Talk About Love, and Girls Are Always Right – got the crowd bopping. The energy the girls put in their dance routines was electric. The group made up of Simone Battle, Lauren Bennett, Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton and Paula van Oppen, are so friendly. One of them announced that three of the band members are recently single.
Redfoo and his pupil from The X Factor Joelle were there adding to the star power of the event.

Of 3,000 girls to enter the Dolly Model Search competition, it came down to the six finalists standing before us at the Museum of Contemporary Art, with Smallzy from Nova FM interviewing them. The finalists Tylah Morgan, Sarah Danga, Vienna Anderson, Emma Tenaglia, Mary Stickley and Jesper Ha all looked beautiful and were very excited, particularly given the competition unearthed top Australian models Miranda Kerr and Jessica Hart who had both previously won the coveted title.
Mary Stickley from Wooloowin, Qld was announced the winner. She secures a contract with Chadwick Models.
Last year’s winner of the title Samantha Garza, Home and Away’s Nic Westaway and boy band The Collective were there for the celebration.
