British indie rock band The Wombats rocked The Island last night at the Channel [V] Island Party playing live on Sydney Harbour at an exclusive event for fans that was filmed to be aired on Channel [V] on March 3. The killer set included new tracks from their soon to be released album Glitterbug, as well as old favourites with the crowd losing control when they belted out their final song over the ocean, “Let’s Dance to Joy Division”.
The band and fans wore a predominantly casual edgy street style.
Last night, local favourite restaurant and bar Bondi Hardware held their highly anticipated annual end of summer birthday party to celebrate turning three years old. Over 150 locals, media, friends and celebrities attended.
A ‘Point Break’ dress code was encouraged, with many guests embracing the theme wearing surf gear and dead president’s masks. DJs spun summer beats and guests were treated to sensational Watermelontini cocktails made with Ketel One Vodka, elderflower liquor, watermelon, apple and lime, Howard Park wines, Endeavour beers and Batlow ciders.
Delicious tasters from the new menu, created by Head Chef Elliot Anders, were continually circulated including polenta and quinoa bites, tuna poke spoons, crispy pork belly and pumpkin boats, the famous Hardware classic beef sliders, pearl barley arancini balls with lemon aioli, and pizzas.
