Last night Australian fashion label Kookai held their SS16 runway show at Carriageworks with a star studded list of models and celebrity guests. Internationally renowned Australian supermodel Shanina Shaik sizzled on the runway launching Kookai’s ‘East meets West’ collection.
In attendance were models and personalities Erin Holland, Laura Dundovic, Renae Ayris, Zac Stenmark, Erin Holland, Laura Csortan and Nat Roser.
Also sitting front row were singer Samantha Jade, Dancing with the Stars contestants Samantha Harris and Lynette and Jude Bolton, actresses Demi Harman and Abby Earl, television personality Anna Heinrich, Sydney Swans footballer Tom Derickx, DJ, television personality and model Didier Cohen, and The Bachelor contestant Lana Jeavons-Fellows. And Australia’s Got Talent star Briden Starr was looking fabulous as usual.
The theme of the range was the culture and richness of Istanbul Turkey, with both Asian and European influences exemplifying stylish playful and elegant pieces for day and night.
Keeping our eyes glued on the runway were internationally and nationally renowned models including Shanina Shaik, KOOKAÏ SS1516 campaign face Talia Richman, Alexander Wang’s FW15 opening face Astrid Holler, Avril Rae, Cassie Lapthorne and Perth born Lauren Brown.

On Friday, MAXIM Australia celebrated its fourth birthday in style with a VIP cocktail party at Casablanca, Double Bay.
400 VIP guests attended including Anja Nissen winner of The Voice 2014, MAXIM Cover girl and Celebrity Apprentice star Gabi Grecko along with her husband Geoffrey Edelsten, singer Krystie Steve, sports star Anthony Mundine, singer/dancer Tim Omaji, international model Rob Evans, model Imogen Anthony, Parramatta Eels player Beau Champion, actor Axle Whitehead, actor and presenter Mike Goldman, MAXIM TV host James Kerley, MAXIM Australian Swimwear Model of the Year Casey Boonstra and MAXIM cover girl Sheridyn Fisher.
Guests danced and dined the night away as they enjoyed Patron Tequila Mojito and Margherita cocktails, Patron XO Café Dark Cocoa shots, Treasury Wines Estate wines and Zeven Lemon beer. We had our make-up done at the Revlon booth so we were ready for photos.
Guests were provided premium gift bags worth over $300 including a copy of the MAXIM August issue, Mercedes-Benz or Dunhill perfume, and selfie stick.
